Answering Your Frequently Asked Questions
All pets must be in good health to stay at Hill Country Pet Ranch. Your pet must be current on the following vaccinations based on your veterinarian’s protocol prior to a lodging or spa visit.
Canines
- Rabies
- Distemper/Parvo Virus Combo (DA2PP or DHLPP)
- Bordetella
- Canine Influenza (We do not currently require the Canine Influenza vaccination, but do request that you discuss the need for this vaccination with your veterinarian.)
Felines
- Rabies
- Feline Distemper (FVRCP)
- Feline Leukemia
Our operating hours are as follows:
- Monday-Friday: 8AM–6PM
- Saturday: 8AM–2PM
- Sunday: 3PM–6PM
- Closed on holidays
For reservations at the Pet Ranch please contact us directly at (830) 229-5425, or start by submitting a Reservation Request. All reservations must be confirmed by telephone or in person. Our reservation specialists will be happy to discuss all of the options the Pet Ranch has to offer!
On arrival day, you may check in at any time during our operating hours. We do ask that you check in by 5PM so you pet has a chance to settle in before we close for the day.
On check-out day, you may check out any time during our operating hours. If you check out after 1PM, you are charged for the day. If your dog is being bathed or groomed on check out day, you may pick up your dog until 3PM without incurring an additional day charge. Sunday we are only open late afternoon as a customer convenience; there is always a charge for Sunday.
Absolutely, we just ask that you bag and label each meal separately.
You can certainly come and visit our facility anytime during regular business hours. Our welcoming staff will be delighted to take you on an informative tour.
It’s a great idea, and it’s free. Call us at (830) 229-5425 to book your pet’s overnight trial run Tuesday or Wednesday night, and it’s our treat.
Certainly, we’d love to play and interact with your pet and their favorite toy. We just ask that you limit the number of toys to 3 per pet.
Yes, families can stay together in our larger rooms. Please call us to discuss how we can make your pets stay more comfortable.
We can accommodate pets with special needs such as diabetics, geriatric pets, pets in heat, or other pets needing special care. Please discuss your pet’s special needs with us in advance.
We will administer medications as needed during our operating hours. Prescription medications should be provided in their respective prescription containers, along with clear and written directions.
